The Pro-face EXM-AMI4LT

The Pro-face EXM-AMI4LT is an Analog Input Expansion Module designed specifically for the GP4000M and LT4000M series modular HMIs.

It belongs to the EXM Series of I/O modules, which are snapped onto the rear of the modular HMI “Rear Module” to expand the system’s ability to read sensors and process signals.

1. Function and Capabilities

The EXM-AMI4LT is a dedicated analog interface. The “4” in the model name indicates it has 4 Input Channels.

• Input Type: Multi-range Analog. It can be configured for both Voltage and Current signals.

• Resolution: 12-bit (0 to 4095). This provides a high degree of precision for reading levels, pressures, or flow rates.

• Sampling Time: Approximately 10ms per channel, suitable for most standard industrial process controls.

Each of the 4 channels can be individually configured via the GP-Pro EX software for the following signals:

• Modular Snap-on: This module does not require a separate communication cable. It features a lateral connector that plugs directly into the back of the HMI controller module (e.g., PFXGM4B01D).

• Terminal Block: Features a removable screw terminal block, which allows you to pre-wire the sensors and easily replace the module if necessary without disconnecting individual wires.

• External Power: Requires an external 24V DC power supply to power the internal conversion circuitry.
