The Modicon TM2AMM6HT is a versatile Mixed Analog I/O Module from Schneider Electric’s TM2 series. It is designed to expand the capabilities of Modicon M238, M258, and Magelis XBTGC controllers.
The “6” in the model name indicates it has a total of 6 analog points (4 inputs and 2 outputs), making it a cost-effective, space-saving solution for applications that require both sensing and control (like a PID loop for a valve or motor).
1. Function and Configuration
This module acts as a bridge for both incoming sensor data and outgoing control signals.
-
Analog Inputs (4 Channels): Used for reading sensors.
-
Analog Outputs (2 Channels): Used for sending signals to actuators, such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) or proportional valves.
-
Resolution: 12-bit (0 to 4095).
2. Supported Signal Ranges
One limitation of the HT variant compared to the “LT” variant is that it is strictly optimized for standard linear signals:
-
Voltage: $0–10V$ DC.
-
Current: $4–20mA$.
3. Technical Specifications
| Feature | Details |
| Model Number | TM2AMM6HT |
| Input Channels | 4 (Non-isolated between channels) |
| Output Channels | 2 |
| Input Impedance | Voltage: $\geqslant 1 M\Omega$ / Current: $250 \Omega$ |
| Output Load | Voltage: $> 2 k\Omega$ / Current: $< 500 \Omega$ |
| Sampling Time | 10ms + 10ms per used channel |
| External Power | 24V DC required |
4. Connectivity and Installation
-
Mounting: Standard 35mm DIN rail mounting. It connects to the right side of the CPU or the previous expansion module via the integrated bus connector.
-
Wiring: Equipped with a removable screw terminal block. This allows you to replace a faulty module without having to disconnect the field wiring from each individual terminal.
-
Cabling: For analog signals, it is highly recommended to use shielded twisted-pair cables to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) from distorting the readings.
